Glasgow Coma Scale Flemin ®
The Glasgow Coma Scale Flemin ® is a reliable scale that allows rapid assessment, continuous and objective level of consciousness of a person after a traumatic brain injury (TBI) helping to determine its severity and progression.
It assesses three aspects of neurological function: eye opening, verbal response and motor response to various stimuli.
With a maximum score of 15 referring to normality, any result below 7 is considered severe trauma, from 8 to 12 moderate, and above that mild trauma.
The Glasgow Coma Scale Flemin ® is an excellent tool for health professionals such as doctors and nurses, and is equally useful for initial care, emergency rooms and hospital wards.
